Experience Shooting Outdoors!
More choices - Ammunition, Distance, and Targets
In the outdoor setting we can shoot black powder muzzle loading rifles and black powder cartridge firearms. This allows more historically correct shooting. The firearms that originally used black powder will be shot with black powder. This includes some old west cartridge firearms.
In the outdoor setting rifles and even some handguns are able to demonstrate their true potential. Instead of 25 yards maximum distance as most indoor ranges, most targets will be 3 yards to 150 yards out and there are metallic targets at 300, 500, and even 800 yards. The shooter can try to engage those long-range targets with the sniper rifle.
In the outdoor setting a variety of targets can be utilized. At the indoor ranges the shooter will only be punching holes in paper. We will shoot some paper or cardboard, but also reactive targets as well. This includes steel swinging targets, steel knock down targets, bowling pins, and water-filled plastic milk jugs. When a high velocity bullet delivers its energy to the water-filled jug, it produces a visually delightful explosion of water spray and shredded plastic. Also, shooting clay birds with a shotgun can be added to any of the shooting programs for an additional fee.
To summarize, shooting outdoors is more fun and more educational as you get to experience the capabilities of different firearms from different eras.
Several different shooting programs are available.
I provide hearing and eye protection and even a recoil pad that can be worn on the shoulder for extra protection when shooting the long guns. I will also provide helpful instruction to shoot better if wanted and warranted. I like to see targets get hit, not just watch rounds going down range. I bet you do too!
