Shooting Through History
Firearms that played a role in US History
In this program we will shoot the most guns and greatest variety of guns.
We start with the Revolutionary War by shooting a flintlock rifle and move through history till we end with the Army’s present rifle, the M-16. We will actually be shooting the semi-auto AR-15 made by Rock River Armory. Full-auto is fun at close range but a waste of ammo for target shooting at longer ranges.
So there is no misunderstanding on the list below, all firearms before the 1903 rifle are modern replicas of the listed guns. They look and shoot the same as the originals and will be fired with black powder. An example would be the listed Colt Single Action Army but we will shoot a Uberti copy of the Colt. The Colt 1911 will be a copy made by Springfield Armory. I will demonstrate and talk about each weapon. I will then supervise each shooter on the line.
