Concealed Considerations
What You Need to Know for a Concealed Weapon
In this program we will examine different handguns and calibers that are best suited to an individual’s needs for concealed carry or home defense.
The shooter will learn how to prevent and clear malfunctions, and to safely load and unload handguns. Shooting will begin with a revolver and semi-auto pistol in 22 LR so proper shooting can be developed before moving to guns with more recoil.
The handguns will also include a Walther PPK/S in 380 auto, a Beretta 92, Sig 226, and Glock 17 in 9mm, a 1911 in 45 acp and a revolver shooting 38 specials and 357 magnums.
We will look at point shooting vs aimed fire, proper hold, and safe drawing. We will use 100 rounds of 22LR, 10 rounds of 380 auto, 45 rounds of 9mm, 14 rounds of 45 acp, 12 rounds of 38 special, and 6 rounds of 357 magnum.
This program is tailored towards the individual with little to no handgun experience but is considering owning one and possibly getting a CCW permit. It will help them in making an informed decision on what kind of handgun is best suited for them along with gaining needed proficiency.
